Contrast of a simple method of transfer of information for monthly runoff volume estimations.
Keywords:
transfer of information, monthly runoff, regional hydrological homogeneity.Abstract
Firstly, the importance of complete runoff volume records with sufficient length is pointed out, since they allow the hydrological studies of water resources systems. Next, the weighted transfer with distance-inverse method is described in detail. Then, two numerical applications are presented, the first one in the south zone of Hydrological Region No. 10 (Sinaloa) and the second one in the central zone of Hydrological Region No. 12 (Lerma-Chapala-Santiago). Lastly, the results are analyzed and a conclusion is formulated, pointing out the simplicity and accuracy of the contrasted method.Downloads
