This article discusses the importance of using traditional technology in irrigation systems characterized by a vulnerable ecological environment, focusing on the description of its infrastructure: riparian protection or "fencing", inlets, and canals, with the intention of contributing to a reflection on its pertinence and of building a bridge to a necessary discussion on the exploration of options for development and sustainability from productive experiences with proven effectiveness and rooted in an ancient culture.References
