Abstract

Flood hydrology is a topic of significant relevance nowadays, in view of the damages recently produced by flooding events throughout the world. This paper presents the results of a series of investigations performed by the author and his collaborators on the subject matter. In particular, methods for the estimation of design floods for dams and river networks, for hydrologic flood routing in river channels and for hydraulic flood routing in river networks are discussed.
