The hydrologic models of urban drainage design assume the spatial variability of the parameters on the basin by subdividing it in sub-basins whose parameters are spatially lumped. The RUNOFF block of the Storm Water Management Model (SWMM) uses this technique, considering the sub-basins as non-linear reservoirs. One of the parameterst,h is block worhs with is the sub-basin width (W), which varies according to the sub-basin idealized by the modeler This parameter will influence on the design of hydrographs. This work presents a comparative analysis of the parameter W on eight urban sub-basins of the city of Santa Fe, Argentina. The analysis is carried out for several rainy events.
